November 05, 2018 What are the holidays without the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? More than 50 million people watch from home, while 3.5 million fill the streets of New York City to cheer in person. This year, look out for the charming newcomer, Little Cloud—an adorable white cloud that will gloriously float over the crowds. The balloon is designed by artist collective FriendsWithYou and is part of the Blue Sky Gallery series. Other artists such as Keith Harring, Takashi Murakami, Tim Burton, Jeff Koons, Tom Otterness, and KAWS have previously design specialty floats for the series. FriendsWithYou co-founders Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III have been using the central image of Little Cloud in their body of work as a representation of “light, tranquility, and unconditional love with a soft power radiating positivity and lightheartedness.” The parade takes place on November 22nd, and kicks off at 9:00 am on 77th Street and Central Park West. Become a part of the magic and head to the streets to catch a glimpse of the magnificent display that is going on its 92nd year. A Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade Like No Other
