May 07, 2018 When the weather warms up in NYC, there’s nothing like a festival, especially when it’s the annual Museum Mile Festival! On June 12, all nine museums that line Fifth Avenue will collectively open, free of charge, from 6 to 9 p.m., inviting New Yorkers and tourists to experience the magic of art in Manhattan. This tradition is going on almost 40 years and is a mile-long block party offering an evening of communal celebration for the arts. What started in 1978 as a way to make art accessible for all in the city, is now a vacation tradition for many who specifically plan their NYC adventure around this artistic and inspiring day. You could be one of a million visitors who explore Fifth Avenue (from 82nd street up to 105th) and take in works and installations from around the globe. Get your block party style ready and we’ll see you, rain or shine, in June! Discover all of the details for the Museum Mile Festival here.Check Out the Museum Mile Festival
