David Bowie Is, at the Brooklyn Museum

April 02, 2018

It’s springtime in NYC and what’s goes better with the city that never sleeps than a little David Bowie? Now through June 15th David Bowie Is will be center stage at the Brooklyn Museum, and it's well-worth the trip across the bridge to check it out. The exhibition pays tribute to Bowie’s artistic, envelope-pushing style and eclectic life and career. Having traveled for five years from London with stops all over the world, the exhibition’s collection communicates the singer’s life through 85 handwritten lyric sheets, 60 signature performance outfits, and a number of sketches and oil paintings, all crafted by the man, the myth and the legend, David Bowie. Check out this limited time experience, complete with a compilation of music videos, film and tv clips, audio recordings and more. Now, you’ll just have to figure our what to wear. Rock on!

PS, we always recommend taking the ferry on a nice day, it’s one of the best ways to get to Brooklyn and take in the New York City skyline view.
